Hippo Lodge consists of spacious self catering chalets situated on 10 acres of wooded countryside in the midst of the recently proclaimed World Heritage Site, the Cradle of Humankind. Hippo Lodge has been awarded a 3 star grading by the Tourism Grading Council of SA (TGCSA). The chalets are fully equipped for self catering, including for fridge/freezer, microwave, stove, TV and cutlery / crockery. Linen and towels are also provided. Each chalet has a brick contsructed braai.

Chalets are serviced daily and dishes washed. Laundry is available upon request as are irons and ironing boards. The smallest chalet sleeps 4 ( double bed and 2 single beds) and the largest 9 ( 2 doubles and 5 singles – 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms). However, beds may be arranged as required and all chalets have space for additional beds in the large lounges. A small swimming pool, lapa area and tennis court are for the exclusive use of the guests.
