Location

Kwazulu-Natal, Lidiko Lodge is a luxury lodge situated in the village of St Lucia in the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park, a World Heritage Site in Zululand,South Africa. St Lucia is the ideal venue from which to explore the surrounding Big 5 Game Parks, the wetlands as well as the unspoilt beaches and pristine coastline.

The dining deck of the lodge has a view over the Great St Lucia Lake from where birdwatching and the most beautiful African Sunsets can be enjoyed.

Facilities

The lodge has 14 double/twin rooms. All the rooms have private patios, their own entrances, are fully airconditioned, and en-suite with a separate bath and shower.

The rooms are decorated in a contemporary Afro-Colonial style and are fitted with crisp white linen, fluffy towels, toiletries, a safe, colour TV, hairdryer as well as tea & coffee making facilities.  All the rooms overlook the tropical pool area or the park like gardens of the lodge.  Secure parking on the premises are provided (just watch out for the hippos at night!).

Lidiko Lodge has a tea garden that serves light refreshments, delicious cakes and drinks all day at the pool area, on the dining deck or on the terraces under a tree canopy.

Activities

Lidiko Lodge is the ideal venue from which to explore the Big 5 reserve of Hluhluwe/Umfolozi, the Wetlands consisting of 8 inter-linking ecosystems, the greatest congregation of hippo and crocodiles in South Africa, the last significant breeding ground for the giant leatherback and loggerhead turtles, 526 bird species, Zulu cultural tours and villages, snorkeling and swimming in the warm Indian Ocean, walking, fishing, whale watching, lake cruises; horseriding, kayaking and off course just relaxing in our always summer weather.
