Sani Valley is located only 5 kilometres from the spectacular Sani Pass, an engineering masterpiece carved into the formidable face of the "Barrier of Spiers", the Drakensberg Mountain Range, providing easy access to the remote mountain kingdom of Lesotho.

The property borders the Southern Drakensberg World Heritage site, an especially rare site celebrating the cultural heritage of San hunter-gatherers beneath the natural wonders of the escarpment. Sani Valley has been developed as an exclusive game park and conservation area, stocked with a variety of non-dangerous game species such as Eland (the largest antelope on Earth), Zebra, Reedbuck and others. Lifton Lake offers some of the most sought after still-water "wild trout" trophy fishing in the Drakensberg.

Sani Valley Lodge overlooks the 260-acre Lifton Lake which lies in the shadow of spectacular natural mountain landscapes and captures perfectly the Drakensberg experience through total privacy, refinement and tranquillity backed up with an extensive range of exciting activities.

The Central Facility

A magnificent bar and restaurant is located on the lake shore. Although normally provided on a self-catered basis, the facility can be operated on behalf of both individual and conference guests by prior arrangement.

Accommodation

Accommodation includes three single-bedroom chalets, one two-bedroom chalet and one three-bedroom chalet. Each unit has a spacious open plan lounge/dining room, a superbly equipped kitchen with all the "mod cons" and luxurious bathrooms, all en-suite or adjoining. In the chilly mountain winter guests will welcome the under floor heating and the cosy fireplace in the lounge. To complete the picture, the bathrooms are fitted with both heated towel rails and infrared heaters.
