Santa Lucia Guesthouse is located in the Greater St. Lucia Wetlands Park World Heritage Site, Zululand, South Africa.

St. Lucia is a small village within the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park and within a short distance, tourists may enjoy a wide variety of outdoor pursuits related to the rich wildlife of the area.

Accommodation

Santa Lucia Guesthouse is a Mediterranean style home set in a tranquil, tropical garden with swimming pool. It was a finalist in the prestigious AA Accommodation Awards programme, allocated for excellent service.

All five of our bedrooms are en suite, equipped with tea/coffee making facilities and bar refrigerators. Several open directly to the garden and pool.

Activities

In order to enjoy in full the aquatic wildlife of the area, we suggest that you take one (or both) of two guided boat tours.

The first leaves from the village and explores the Narrows - the estuary north of St. Lucia village - where mangroves, mudskippers, hippos, crocs and fiddler crabs abound.

The second leaves from Charters Creek (70 kms away) and tours a greater area of the lake itself where hippos, crocodiles and fish eagles may be sighted.
