The focal point of The Kingdom is an entertainment experience where guests are taken on a fascinating 1½ -hour journey into the world of the Zulu People. The journey begins in an auditorium seating up to 160 guests where a powerful multi media presentation sets the mood. People move from there through a series of entertainment zones where an ensemble of Zulu performers will present various aspects of Zulu tradition, culture and history in an interactive and exciting manner. The journey ends back in the auditorium with a feast of Zulu song and dance.
The Victorian Manor, lavishly appointed and tastefully decorated in British Colonial style, offers guests the perfect setting for elegant dining and romantic cocktails. The dining room and wide verandah overlooking the undulating sugar fields will seat up to 120 in comfort and under the watchful eye of German Hotelier and Chef, Rainer Stenzhorn, all meals are guaranteed to impress even the most discerning.
The original Indian cane cutters' village has been lovingly renovated to provide 28 en suite chalets decorated in a combination of Colonial and Indian style and planted with aromatic herbs, tropical fruit trees and vivid exotic blooms. This authentic village pays homage to those who arrived in South Africa as indentured laborers and stayed on to help build a nation and become an integral part of our magnificent cultural diversity.
