In sharp contrast to the harsh landscape, the central reception area at the Lodge is a haven of luxury, African style, with thatch, stone and timber finishes to nurture the bushveld experience. Facilities include an open air boma, a large sundeck and sparkling pool, a fully licensed pub with satellite television and a first class restaurant serving three full-course meals a day including morning and afternoon teas. All the facilities are set with a commanding view of the Bloukrans River and, for a brief moment, they are yours to relax and ponder the past and future of this great continent.

Impeccably presented stone and thatch cottages set along the historic Bloukrans River create an immediate sense of space and solitude. Riverside's accommodation consists of five two-bedded thatch on stone cottages and two four-bedded thatch on stone cottages (twin or double beds plus two single beds in living room area) each with en-suite bathroom and a wooden deck overlooking the river. The four-bedded units and two of the two-bedded units have their own kitchenettes for the option of self-catering.
