MontEco is located about 220 km from Cape Town in a unique part of the Little Karoo on the highlands between the Anysberg and the Langeberg near Montagu. Our focus is on ecotourism, which we consider to encompass: The protection of the environment and its ecosystems and allowing tourists controlled access to the reserve while at the same time creating an environment which provides adventurous and educational elements to the overall experience.

Beautiful scenery, interesting rock formations, wildlife , birdlife , lichens , marine fossils , San rock art and diverse flora ensure that there is something to interest all nature lovers and outdoors enthusiasts. The clear skies and the distance from light pollution sources make it an ideal location for studying, or simply admiring, the night sky. Just taking it easy and relaxing in this tranquil environment, surrounded by panoramic views, fresh country air and a therapeutic silence, is what some visitors choose to do and many others end up doing.
