Once the farmers brought their wheat to be ground between the millstones of the historic watermill.
Today, people come to the beautifully restored Old Mill Lodge to calm the mind and relax the body in this haven of peace and beauty behind the mountains.
The Old Mill Lodge is the ideal getaway. A leisurely two hours from Cape Town along the world's longest wine route. Nestled in the hills of McGregor, with its whitewashed cottages, vineyards and mountain backdrops. Good food, great wine and country hospitality at its best await.
Set in beautiful indigenous fynbos gardens, each of the four cottages has 2 seperate en-suite bedrooms. High vaulted ceilings keep them cool in Summer. Coffee and Tea facilities are provided.
The bathrooms are done up with hand made ceramic handbasins and crafted brass showers. 6 of the 8 rooms have baths and showers, the other 2 have Victorian baths. The shared verandahs all boast majestic views over the valley and out to the Langeberg mountains.
